When KOS and Style Salvage posted about Far Fetch today, I had to beam because I had heard about this concept over a year ago and had been itching for it to come online and be unleashed on the world and to get the bloggers’ approval of an e-commerce initiative like this can only mean good things for the guys at Far Fetch. Over Paris Fashion Week, there was a brunch and a party celebrating the launch of Maria Luisa on FarFetch.Com but the entire concept of Far Fetch doesn’t stop and start with the boutique in Paris.
It brings together 20 boutiques in Europe with emphasis on the word ’boutique’ onto one unified site. Far Fetch has given the means to smaller shops that might not necessarily have the means or ability to go into e-commerce or if they have, the function isn’t as advanced. So we have London boutiques like No-One, bStore (both yet to be added to Far Fetch for now…) and Beyond the Valley that have dabbled in e-commerce but with Far Fetch they can take it to the Net-a-Porter level that creates an ease of environment for choosy online shoppers.
